The project focuses on the training of women from the Sapirara community in the south of Bahia in the production of: Christmas cakes and breads, jams and native fruit jams that will compose a breakfast basket to be marketed in the High Season from Dec / 2018 to Feb / 2019.
Its main distribution will be made by hotels, guest houses and restaurants in Trancoso, Bahia. These places will be part of a "Buying club", with minimum monthly purchase of R $ 20 / month. The program we are developing for the women of this low income community also aims to promote a study of the development of Traditional Community Cooking in the South of Bahia, based on the exchange of knowledge between the community and its ancestry present.
Family farming, native products and ingredients, old cooking methods, and centuries-old recipes will be part of the contents developed by the project together with the practical skills. The main objective is also the generation of fixed income for these women and family. A project providing skills, fun and hope for all participants. Obrigado! Thanks!
