We are all concerned about the health of our families and friends. We are worried about the future of our economy and our jobs.
There is a lot of uncertainty now, but one thing we know for sure: examples of generosity and resilience are multiplying.
Even while practicing physical distancing, we are #stilltogether
Your giving is helping feed our community and deliver meals to seniors, adults with disabilities and shelters in London, Ontario.
The COVID-19 situation has been a major impact for the work we do, and we are humbled by your continuous support.
When quarantine started, our first thought was providing nutrition to the vulnerable population. Over the last weeks, we focused on collaborating with local organizations that could feed:
- seniors who already leave in isolation;
- people who are homeless and can’t self-quarantine;
- people with disabilities who would struggle to go shopping;
- people who are not getting a paycheque and can’t afford a meal;
- families with little kids, who need nutrition to develop.
Our Domestic General Support funds were donated for immediate support to our community here in London. We are assisting three organizations that are having a rise in demand due to the pandemic: Meals on Wheels, the London Food Bank and Mission Services.
Thank you for all donations so far!
We are eager to do more
The impact of school closures and job loss will affect us in the long run, and we anticipate the need to keep helping families.
This will take considerable efforts from our community.
If you are able, please give. Every dollar donated matters.
If you can’t donate, please help us generate awareness.
