Habitat for Humanity Brant-Norfolk is a non-profit organization working towards a world where everyone has a safe, affordable and decent place to live. Together, we build strength, stability and independence providing local families the opportunity for better, healthier lives.
Habitat for Humanity Brant-Norfolk residents in the City of Brantford, Brant County and Norfolk County help to make affordable homeownership a reality. Through volunteer labour and donations of money and materials, Habitat Brant-Norfolk builds decent houses alongside homeowner (partner) families.
To date, we have built 21 homes in the City of Brantford and one home in Norfolk County. Our commitment is to continue building safe, decent and affordable homes in our surrounding communities. We can do this with community support!
It currently costs about $150,000 to sponsor a Habitat for Humanity Brant-Norfolk build, depending on the cost of land. The homes built are decent homes that families can afford to purchase. Habitat believes in building good quality, well-constructed homes without expensive options.
Habitat for Humanity Brant-Norfolk is a unique charity because every fundraising dollar goes directly into our affordable homeownership program and building more homes for more families. Also, Habitat Brant-Norfolk holds each mortgage issued to family partners. We mentor and support families as they become homeowners who pay an affordable monthly mortgage, property taxes and learn how to maintain their home.
With every $1 invested we provide $4 in social benefits, making Habitat for Humanity a great community investment! On behalf of our homeowners, thank you sincerely for your generous support.
