Now, more than ever, families need immediate support as they navigate through this crisis.
Mental Health is incredibly important during these uncertain times and ROCK is committed to providing as much support as possible to our families in the safest way possible. Although we have closed our in-person services, we are still offering support through phone, email, and video conference. We fully expect an increase in need for our services in the coming weeks and months as this pandemic and social distancing continues.
We are looking for funds that will help address our key areas of need that we have identified since the COVID-19 pandemic, along with adapting our programs and service to continue to serve our clients during this time.
ROCK needs to adapt our previous service delivery methods, which were primarily face-to-face. With that no longer possible during this pandemic, we are learning how to provide virtual support. This includes immediately delivering our services online through email, teleconference, and over the phone. We need to expand to offer video program delivery to our clients, which will include video support, crisis counselling, and an immediate response “chat box”.
It’s imperative we set up new procedures and protocols to offer these services safely and with enhanced security. To offer these services remotely, we need to update our technological resources, with more computers and new software. We also need to continue to support our educational sessions, through online meetings and continuing to work with our community partners. We have received many requests from the community in providing wellness information and tips to help people cope and to take care of themselves.
We thank everyone in advance for the support of our families during this difficult time.
