In Lebanon, a region already facing significant economic and political challenges, over one million people have been displaced since fighting in the region intensified in late 2024. Many of these displaced people are older and have had to leave their homes and livelihoods behind, and lack access to essential services, facing increasing hardship as the conflict continues to upturn their daily lives.

Nearly 180,000 people are now living in temporary shelters across the country, many of which do not have basic supplies and proper facilities for cooking and hygiene. The situation is especially dire for older people, and support now is invaluable in helping to address urgent needs.
