COVID-19 Relief Fund for Mental Heath

Campaign Ends June 30, 2020

Hong Fook Mental Health Association has been serving the Asian communities in the Greater Toronto Area since 1982. We strive to address the mental health concerns of the Cambodian, Chinese (Cantonese and Mandarin), Korean and Vietnamese communities.

With the COVID -19 pandemic, we have realized the needs to go virtual with the aim for service continuation and support for clients while reducing physical interactions. This includes clients requiring access to mental health case management services, medical appointments, peer supports, education on COVID-19 and healthy living.

Many of our clients are isolated, living with severe and persistent mental illness and/or living at precarious housing which  make them hard to access community resources, support and care remotely.

Relief Fund can help to reach:

- Improve access to care, basic needs, language support

- Improve social interaction to breakdown isolation

- Increase coping skills to manage their mental health condition

Our Relief Fund Goal is: $50,000

Living with mental health concerns is challenging. Isolation due to lack of access makes it much worse.

At Hong Fook, we are looking for your support and generosity to make virtual care accessible for our clients during this difficult time. Let's make it possible for our clients to stay connected virtually.

Hong Fook is open (remotely)! If you or someone you know experience mental health distress, whether it is related to COVID-19 or not, call us at 416-493-4242. Our mental health workers will listen and help you navigate through this pandemic. As always, we speak your languages - English, Cambodian, Cantonese, Korean, Mandarin, and Vietnamese.
