Humanity First is supporting the 3D-Printed Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) initiative for Healthcare Workers in the Greater Toronto, Hamilton and Niagara Areas (3D PPE GTHA).
Currently, there is a dire shortage of PPE at a large number of Southern Ontario hospitals.
A team of medical students from the University of Toronto and McMaster University, a medical student from Kansas City University of Medicine and Biosciences, a pharmacy student from the University of Toronto, and an undergraduate student from Brock University have come together and started an initiative using 3D printing technology to produce protective face shields for healthcare workers. The team has expanded significantly to over 130 student volunteers from various educational backgrounds.
These funds will be put towards 3D printing supplies, such as filaments and plastic sheets, as well as logistical costs such as shipping, handling, and delivery.
Alternatively, if you can provide services including 3D printers and laser cutting, or have other ideas for collaboration, please contact firstname.lastname@example.org. The campaign website is www.3DPPEGTHA.ca.
Your support is greatly appreciated!
