Fairvern has been provided 24-hour residential, nursing, personal and palliative care to Huntsville, Muskoka, and East Parry Sound for over 36 years.  New requirements for long term care and the age of the building means Fairvern must be rebuilt.

The Ontario Government recently announced approval of an additional 20 beds to bring the redevelopment to a minimum 96 bed nursing home. The land has been donated, support from both Town and District councils has been approved.

The Ministry of Health only provides a portion of the funding needed to rebuild the new Fairvern.  The remainder of the capital must be raised through local community initiatives; such as the Paddle for Fairvern.

2019 marks the 7th annual paddle which will be held on Saturday August 10th.

The Paddle for Fairvern event has been a very successful way for us to raise much needed funds.  With paddler pledges, donations and corporate sponsors, our generous community has raised over $200,000 in 6 years!  Last year over $55,000 was raised through sponsors, donors, and paddlers.

There are many ways to participate, paddle, corporate sponsorship, and volunteerism. All avenues will help rebuild Huntsville’s not-for-profit Long Term Care home. Your support is critical.
