About LONE PINE LAND TRUST
LONE PINE LAND TRUST (LPLT) is a land trust organization based in Northumberland, Ontario, focused on preserving the Cold Creek Watershed area. Cold Creek is one of the finest creeks remaining in eastern North America and the goal of the LPLT land trust is to preserve as much as possible of the natural heritage of Cold Creek and its surrounding wetlands, lands and forests. At present, the LPLT holds five tracts, all concentrated around the headwaters of Cold Creek and Marsh Creek.
Lone Pine Land Trust began with the vision of founder, Murial Braham, and continues to be a locally based organization, run by a volunteer board of directors and supported by a dedicated membership, generous donors, and a supportive community.
The Lone Pine Land Trust is registered as a Canadian Charity, registered with the Canadian Biological Gifts Program (Ecogifts),a member of the Ontario Land Trust Alliance and the Rice Lake Plains Joint Initiative, and a working partner with Ontario Heritage Trust.
