The Legacy of Hope Foundation (LHF) is a national, Indigenous-led, charitable organization with the goal of educating and raising awareness about the history and many impacts of the Residential School System in Canada, and facilitating Reconciliation between Indigenous (First Nation, Inuit, and Métis) and non-Indigenous Peoples. For almost 20 years, we have created educational exhibitions, workshops, and curriculum to promote awareness of Canada’s hidden history and to publicize the rich legacies and contributions that Indigenous Peoples have made to the fabric of our society. We believe that through educational materials we can create a deeper understanding of the issues facing Indigenous Peoples today. We hope that by fostering empathy and mutual respect we can inspire actions to bring about equality and Reconciliation for all Canadians.
We at the Legacy of Hope Foundation are still working hard to bring our message of Reconciliation to Canadians despite these uncertain times.
