When someone leaves prison, they face a variety of obstacles—emotional, spiritual, and physical—often as a result of incarceration. These obstacles can make everyday life difficult. Without a healthy support network, many former inmates struggle with the process of returning to the community.
No One Leaves Alone (NOLA)
The No One Leaves Alone (NOLA) program matches former prisoners with circles of support. Each circle includes a case manager and two or three volunteers, people who want to empower former inmates and see them successfully re-enter the community. Every NOLA volunteer receives training on appropriate security protocols and learns how to provide trauma-informed support.
Healing Through Restorative Justice
At M2/W2, we believe restorative justice is a community endeavour. If we work together, healing is possible for the community and people who have served time behind bars. The NOLA program gives former prisoners access to the support and accountability they need as they seek restoration and new life.
With your donation, we can equip additional volunteers and create new circles of support to connect with those who are waiting to join NOLA. Your gift of $200 allows us to host two support meetings that will help a newly released person successfully reintegrate into society.
