Overview

Welcome spring with Manitoba Underground Opera on Sunday, May 5th to support our Opera for Children Tour!

The snow is melting and we're starting to see grass again, which means MUO is ramping up for another amazing summer. Join us at our first event of the season to support our Opera for Children tour.

Details

Enjoy the bright light spring brings with pastels, flowers, tea, tiny nibbles, and a fabulous silent auction. You'll be serenaded by MUO's 2019 artists singing well-known favourites, hidden gems, and a throwback to 2018's Opera for Children Tour.

Doors open at 2:30 and performances will begin at 2:45.

Tickets are $20 and all proceeds from this event will be going directly to helping MUO's Opera for Children tour reach as many as 2,000 parents and children during the month of August. MUO's Opera for Children tour gives the youngest Manitobans a chance to see professional opera singing up close and for FREE. Our show will be traveling to even more Winnipeg Public Libraries than last year, as well as day cares and summer camps.

Because of you, opera can inspire our next generation.

About This Charity

Manitoba Underground Opera creates experiences every summer. We draw you in to another world. Sometimes, we create romance. Sometimes, we make you think. And above all, we make you feel. Every August, MUO presents an opera festival featuring a variety of main stage shows, concerts, kid's opera, and free events. 2018's successful season, entitled "Obsession", reached over 1,000 patrons with 17 events over the month of August, including 300 parents and children at Jack and the Beanstalk.
