The Maria Luisa de Moreno International Foundation Canada (MLMIF), would like to carry out its annual events, “A Day for Kids,” and One day for the Elder in order to do this, we would like to ask you for your help and support with this event that will take place on July and August 2018 in Montreal.
The event’s objective is to offer a day of appreciation and fun for kids, through activities and games that promote physical, emotional, intellectual and social development. This year we will benefit 350 children ranging in ages 0-12 years old, with the help of 100 volunteers.
The participating children come from low-income families and single-parent families that often lack the financial means to offer their children recreational activities and gifts. We would like to offer the children a school kit, a day of joy and laughter filled with activities, a show, games, prizes, music and free food.
To do all this, we are in great need of your help in the form of a donation and/or a sponsorship. Whether it is in kind or cash donations, all contributions are more than welcomed. For all donations higher than $20, an official income tax receipt will be provided by the Foundation.
To ensure a successful event, we are looking to collect $8000 This amount includes the cost of the decorations, facility, food, raffle prices, performances, school supplies, gifts for the kids, and any other miscellaneous expenses. Should there be remaining funds, they will be used towards different programs and campaigns provided by the Foundation through the year.
With your generous contribution, we know this will guarantee the success of, “A Day for Kids” that will be done for the 5th time around this year. If you would like further information in regards to this event, or if you would like to discuss further on how we can work together, please do not hesitate to contact me.
One Day for the Elder aims to offer a time of warmth and integration for them, also by encouraging them to have fun while learning the importance of taking care of themselves and having mental and physical wellness as fundamental bases to sustainable aging. This will be a great day filled with fun activities, gifts, music, food and a healthy habits for life workshop, all at no cost.
The elderlies participating are people of low income, immigrants and older people living alone in Canada. This year, we hope to benefit around 100 elders. Your help is very important and appreciated so that the event is successful. Help us offer this to the elders of Montreal
For the smooth running of the event, we are looking into collecting $4000 between monetary donation, donation in kind and fundraising activities. This includes spending for the room rental, healthy food, raffle prizes, gifts for each elder, advertising, decorations and various expenses.
