Long-term Desired Outcome
Moorelands Kids' programs aim to provide positive and fun programming that give opportunities for participants to develop leadership skills and positive character qualities. We aim to connect youth to their communities and help them understand that the skills and strategies practiced at Moorelands are transferable and prepare them to thrive in the world outside.
In the long-term, we are developing youth who are connected with their community and have good role models and so are less likely to participate in delinquent behaviour. These will be competent children who are more likely to experience academic success. As they grow, we hope our participants will continue to practise positive character traits such as trustworthiness, respect and responsibility to become great citizens and leaders.
It is our youth programming vision that our children and youth will leave our programs with the character, skills and strategies they need to thrive and make a positive impact at home and in the community at large. Thereby creating a safer, more connected city for all.
