One of our critical programs is the Christmas Senior Care Packages Program. Through it, we fill gift bags with practical items and yummy holidays treat and then have volunteer “elves” deliver the gift bags to lonely and isolated Summerland seniors right before Christmas. The program is simple, but the impact has been tremendous.

A lot of the seniors who receive a gift bag have no close family or friends and for many, the gift bag is the only holiday-related communication they receive.

The need for this program is great. While we ask the community for financial and physical donations to help us fill the gift bags, it is still a high cost as the program grows each year.
