Ugly Sweater Party!
North End Community Health Centre
May all your sweaters be ugly and bright!
Are you hosting a holiday party? A little festive gathering in the office? A nice dinner at a friend’s house? A friends and family cookie exchange? Just add NECHC to the invite! A corporate department, small business or group of friends – make your event extra special by helping to promote NECHC and make a donation or fundraise.
Eager to host? It's super easy!
Click the red CREATE A TEAM button to set up your business or personal fundraising page. You will have the option to customize your page.
Invite your guests, and ask them to wear a fabulous festive sweater and make a donation to NECHC. You can include a link to your fundraising page, or let them know they can find your party in a drop-down menu when donating on our general page.
When event day arrives, let loose and have fun with your guests! Share photos through social media using #getuglyforNECHC and #NECHC and our provided Facebook frame.
Ideas for fundraising:
Prior to your holiday party: Host a casual day where all employees donate money to have the honour of wearing an ugly sweater or hold a bake sale (who doesn’t need more treats?).
At your holiday party: Host a 50/50 draw, auction off gift cards or other prizes, have a portion of ticket sales allocated to the fundraiser or simply ask people to make a donation.
For every $50 raised, your team/company will get one ballot entered in a draw that will take place on December 30th.
Anyone who posts a picture on Facebook or Twitter with your Ugly Sweater party and tags NECHC in it, gets entered for a draw (#GetuglyforNECHC #NECHC).
The North End Community Health Centre (NECHC) has been a hub for those living in the North End since 1971. We provide collaborative, multi-disciplinary primary health services to meet the needs of those who often face barriers to accessing care. Beyond the physical clinic, we also support health and well-being in our community through programming, education and advocacy in an environment in which people are treated with respect and dignity.
While some of our programming is funded, a large portion of it is not. As a non-profit organization, in order to run programs such as Mobile Outreach Street Health, our Good Food Box and the North End Walkers, we rely on funding from grants, donors and fundraising events.
