Meet the mother-son duo and co-owners of The Fig Bistro (previously The Sprouted Fig): Beatrice Weir and David Scarlatescu.
In 2011, Beatrice brought her 13-year-old son, David, into The Sprouted Fig for the first time. She expressed her love for the business and her dream to own it one day. Fast forward 6 years to August 2017, a 19-year-old David purchased the business to run it with his mother. The two nutritionists set off to change the way people thought about quick service food.
The dynamic mother-son duo will be sure to impress as they combine their Latin roots with a well-choreographed dance. Be sure to watch out for them!
Beatrice and David love supporting the community and regularly support charities in town. With past involvement in Hospice House, they’re excited to have the opportunity to support Hospice House again and they can’t wait to take dance lessons and show off their new skills at Dancing with the Vernon Stars.
