Kristi was born and raised in Calgary where she married the love of her life. In 2006, they moved to Vancouver and as their family grew, they decided to make the move to a smaller town to raise their three children. In 2014, while on vacation in the Okanagan, Kristi discovered that Vernon didn’t have a 30 Minute Hit. This is when her family decided to take the leap and make her dream come true to own the business of her dreams.
With three children, life gets busy so Kristi set out to find herself a dance partner and found one in Aaron Nasipayko, advisor at Sun Life Financial.
Aaron, originally from Saskatchewan, fell in love with the Rockies, which eventually lead him to the heart of the Okanagan. Now this dad of a 7-year-old boy and 5-year-old girl keeps busy with his passion for the outdoors, including Silver Star in the winter and enjoying the abundance of local lakes waterskiing and paddling in the summer while constantly exposing his children to the Okanagan lifestyle.
Kristi and Aaron both appreciate how generous and open the community is and want to give back in any way they can. Hospice House in Calgary had played a huge part in Kristi’s grandmother’s final days and Aaron is familiar with Hospice House in Vernon—making it a no-brainer to participate, even though Aaron doesn’t know how to dance at all and might be a few inches shorter than Kristi in heels!
