The Fort St John Community Gardens host more than 50 rentable garden spaces for the community and more than 100 square feet of Green Share growing spaces full of food that feed our neighbours on the 56th parallel.
The Community Gardens is currently managed by NEAT where the gardens are part of an expanded focus on food security in our community and offer accessible, affordable growing capacity.
Our community is blessed with many (many!) hours of daylight over the summer and this often comes with minimal precipitation. As a result of this, we provide water for gardeners all summer. The funds raised here will help pay the water bill and support local food security over the summer.
Thank you for your interest in northern food security!
