Committed to animals now and in the future
The Nova Scotia SPCA is committed to animals now and in the future. Join with our staff and volunteers and you can ensure animal welfare through our four pillars
You make it possible for us to respond 7 days a week, 365 days a year and rescue animals who have been lost, injured, abandoned or abused.
You provide a safe haven for animals with nowhere else to go. Because of you the animals receive healthy food, a comfy bed, daily exercise and endless love and affection until we can find them a new forever home.
You ensure that essential medical care is available to animals who are sick and injured, as well as routine health checks, vaccinations, microchips and spaying & neutering for all companion animals. You support our SPCA owned hospitals (Dartmouth, Cape Breton, Yarmouth) so we can perform surgeries and immediately treat medical needs in-house, keeping costs as low as possible.
You support the dedicated staff and volunteers of the Nova Scotia SPCA to work one-on-one with every animal to rebuild their trust in humans and ensure the animal is well prepared for the next stage of their life.
