The Parent Resource Centre prepares holiday hampers for families who are part of our Family Resilience Program (FRP).  This program provides client-centered, trauma-informed parenting support services (in our clients’ homes, or in a group setting) for vulnerable high-risk families (parents and children aged 0-18) who are not connected to or able to access community parenting services.  

We help approximately 35 families or more at this time of year, providing essential items, cleaning products, baby care items, culturally appropriate foods, personal hygiene items, grocery vouchers and a gift for parents to give to their child/ren for the holidays.  This helps to make a potentially stressful time a little easier for vulnerable families in our care as they work to improve their present circumstances.
