The Pemberton & District Public Library is asking for your help to raise funds for a redesign of the main library space.
With over 89,000 visits in 2017 the Library is continuing to grow in usage but our space is not. The redesign aims to maximize the use of the existing library space in order to be responsive to the growing and changing needs of the community. Elements of the redesign include relocating the public computers and information desk, increased seating, movable stacks to increase space for programming, improved study space, and re-painting and re-carpeting. The redesign has been split into two separate Phases.
We are close to halfway to our total of $150,000 thanks to generous contributions from the Whistler Blackcomb Foundation and Friends of the Pemberton Library. This will enable us to complete Phase One and we ask now for your support to help with the completion of Phase Two.
Phase One is scheduled to take place early Summer 2018.
