Pilgrims Hospice Society is celebrating 25 years of serving individuals and families in the greater Edmonton community! Since registering as a charity on April 12, 1994, Pilgrims now offers:
- Supportive out-patient programming enhancing dignity and quality of life for those living with a life-limiting illness, including a Day Hospice program and Volunteer Hospice Home Visiting Program.
- End-of-life bedside support through the No One Dies Alone program.
- Grief Services through one-on-one counselling, Expressive Arts, and support groups, for individuals, children, youth and families facing the death of a loved one from any cause, including illness, sudden death, accident or suicide.
Today, Pilgrims Hospice Society is excited to play a leadership role in building Edmonton’s first residential community hospice - the Roozen Family Hospice Centre – designed to offer specialized 24/7 end-of-life care in home-like comfort, with out-patient and grief services under the same roof. We are proud to offer our programs and services free of charge (the Hospice Day Program is $10 per visit, as set by Alberta Health Services). This is only possible through the ongoing generosity of our supporters. Your Birthday Gift will provide companionship, specialized end-of-life care and grief support for individuals, children and families at one of life’s most challenging and vulnerable times.
