The Vancouver AIDS WALK is a grassroots community tradition that goes back over 34 years. The annual WALK raises funds for Positive Living BC's Community Health Fund (CHF)-- a fund that assists HIV+ low income people in BC with HIV related costs not covered by existing health plans.

The first AIDS WALK in Canada was held Vancouver in 1986, during a time when little was known about the virus and people were dying. Today, 34 years later, a lot has changed about life with HIV, but fear, stigma, shame and discrimination remain a daily reality for far too many of our friends and neighbors. That's why we WALK each year: to memorialize those we lost too soon, celebrate those living with HIV today, and to challenge negative stigma while raising needed funds for people living with HIV in BC.

Join us Sunday September 22nd for the 34th Vancouver AIDS WALK at Sunset Beach: registration opens at 10:30am, opening ceremonies start at 11:30am!
