Update August 11:
Thank you to everyone who has shared this page with friends and who has donated. While we will receive all donations, in order to count your donation towards this fundraising campaign, please select New Space Fund on the list of fund options.
Thanks too to those who have mailed a cheque, called to offer connections to funding sources and dropped in to help with packing. Every bit helps us to reach our goal and we are so grateful to work within Edmonton's LGBTQ and allied community.

A Bigger & Better Pride Centre
The Pride Centre of Edmonton has been presented with a unique opportunity to expand into a new, larger space in our existing building! The Centre was approached by our landlord to take over a new 4,600 sq ft. space with only a marginal increase to our monthly rent (we are currently occupy a small 1,900 sq ft. space). A condition of the agreement was that we renovate the space to suit our growing needs. The Centre has secured various funding sources to get to us to the 80% completion stage on our new space, but we need your help get us past the goal line.
Our beautiful new space will be utilized for programming all year round and we plan to take possession in September 2017. The new space is a much bigger, brighter, fully-accessible, and will service all the needs of the Pride Centre of Edmonton’s many and varied programs and activities for years to come. Some of the highlights of the new space will include:
- Large open areas for programming;
- Private counselling rooms;
- Comfortable meeting rooms;
- Workspace room for our growing staff base;
- A functional kitchen;
- Three washrooms,including a handicap accessible washroom;
- A bright boardroom;
- Large drop-in lounging space; and
- Room for our ever-growing LGBT library (largest in Western Canada).
We require your assistance to get across the finish line and move into our new space. There are still several aspects of the project that require completion. While the Pride Centre of Edmonton has sourced funding where possible, the Centre needs your help to complete the project. The Pride Centre of Edmonton would be extremely appreciative of any and all financial donations or certain furniture donations.
Your support is key to the Pride Centre of Edmonton's expanded vision for providing LGBTQ+ support and services to our community. Would you consider donating funds or furniture? Our goal is to raise $30,000 to finish the renovation and move in September 2017.
We thank you in advance for your support! Your donation is greatly appreciated and will be used to complete the new and improved Pride Centre of Edmonton, allowing it to continue to provide the community with valuable services and programs.
