Founded in 1992, the "Regroupement des aidantes et aidants naturels de Montréal" (Coalition of Caregivers of Montreal - RAANM) is a non-profit regional organization which contributes in improving the living conditions of caregivers who provide support, help, care and services to a next-of-kin  (father, mother, spouse, child, etc.) or a close friend.

Its main objectives consist in:

• providing a space where caregivers of the Island of Montreal can learn, get referrals and gather to put forth community spirit;
• promoting the emergence of caregiver groups of all sectors and borough of the Island of Montreal;
• promoting and defending the rights of caregivers; educate speaker (s) in the health sector and social services, public authorities and the population to the reality of caregivers;
• contributing to knowledge developement of caregivers's situation, and experimenting with new forms of support.
