Neighbours helping Neighbours
Rideau Valley Wildlife Sanctuary
Wildlife need your help now, more than ever!
Every year, hundreds of native wildlife are in need of a helping hand...
- a baby eastern grey squirrel fell 30 feet from a roof
- baby raccoons were orphaned after a neighbour shot their mother
- an adult red squirrel was hit by a car and gave birth while in our care
- three baby foxes were found wandering on their own with no sign of their parents
These are just some of the stories of the wildlife patients in our care. Without help, they would have no chance of survival.
Fundraising for your favourite charity through social media can make a significant impact and is easier than ever with new customizable tools. In 2020 alone, online personal fundraisers have already brought in more than $6,500 for the animals at RVWS.
You can make a difference for your wildlife neighbours by creating your personal fundraising page or join a team right now. With just a few simple clicks, it's easy to spread awareness and invite your peers to help injured and orphaned wildlife get a second chance at life in the wild. Tax receipts are issued automatically.
Here's where you can make a difference. Right now, you can create your personalized fundraising page or join a team to encourage donations to help injured and orphaned wildlife get the specialized care, food and formula, and veterinary care they need to survive.
RVWS receives no government funding and relies solely on grants and donations to continue its life-saving work. COVID has affected most charities' funding and RVWS is no exception. We need to raise $10,000 to help our current patients, and the second litter of incoming orphaned babies.
Every dollar makes a difference, so please consider making a donation, starting your personal fundraiser or joining a fundraising team. Tax receipts are issued for all donations.
As a small thank-you, the top 5 fundraisers will receive a free Neighbours helping Neighbours t-shirt.
