Roseneath at Home is a special initiative created in response to the predicament Covid-19 has placed on working parents with kids at home. Most parents are not able to work, act as parents, and teachers, all the same time. Roseneath has introduced online camps through video communication to allow parents 2-3 hours each day where they don’t have to do all three. It also allows kids 2-3 hours to just be kids while “virtually” hanging out with their friends. We foster an environment that encourages kids to just “be who they are” without the pressure to “perform” or “create deliverables”, and we are proud to tailor our camps to meet developmentally appropriate activities for all our participants. Our staff are experienced and enjoy working with children who may need a little extra consideration (I.E. youth on the spectrum, or children with unique special needs), and we deliberately keep our registration numbers small to allow for this individual attention. Children who participate in our camps will finish the day or week, with a sense of self-confidence, well-being, and new friends.
Parents and students are facing extreme challenges during this epidemic. Roseneath would like to remove all barriers parents face in finding child care while working, and offer subsidies or free camp enrolment to families who need them.
This is where YOU can directly help remove the stress from any parent that is struggling to keep their job while simultaneously creating a safe, educational, and fun environment for their child. Our online camps will continue as long as they're needed. But which also means we most likely won't be able to tour our shows during that time. That's why we're directing all funds to our 2020-21 season. So we can keep going! Donate today, for tomorrow.
