The YES! Toronto Jam is part of a worldwide initiative organizing retreat for young and intergenerational change-makers who spend 3-5 days together reflecting, sharing, building community, and creating new possibilities. The 4th Toronto Jam will take place on September 22-25 at the Mansfield Outdoor Centre, which is 90 minutes northwest of Toronto.
We believe that what’s going on inside of each of us, what’s happening in our relationships, and what’s happening in the world are inextricably linked to one another. We therefore try to make space for all three of these areas of transformation — the personal, interpersonal, and systemic — in each part of the Jam. This year, we will host a Jam for 25 people of vibrant diversity in terms of life experience, identity, and worldview. We use a sliding scale payment system, and we never want money to be a barrier to participate. We have fundraised $2,000 to support participant registrations, and need $500 more to offer 15 scholarships. Scholarships cover the cost of lodging, food, childcare, materials, and stipends for organizers and facilitators.
We look to our extended community to fund the Toronto Jam. Can you help us make it happen?
Please note: Schools Without Borders is the financial trustee of the YES! Toronto Jam. All funds raised will be donated to the Toronto Jam. Donations over $50 are tax-deductible.
