About SIMCOE COMMUNITY SERVICES FOUNDATION

Many people with intellectual disabilities are living on or below the poverty line. Simcoe Community Services Foundation was established in 1998 and partners directly with Simcoe Community Services in supporting thousands of adults and children with intellectual disabilities and their families across Simcoe County. Funds raised by the Foundation go directly to individuals and families for services and supports that receive limited or no government funding.

Simcoe Community Services was established in 1953 by concerned parents wishing to offer their children with intellectual disabilities an alternative to institutional placement. It is a multi-service agency that provides a wide range of programs and services to people at every life stage. The vision of the agency is “spark the unlimited potential of all people.”
