We approaches we use are two fold - one is direct programming for immediate support and the other is our long-term work of policy and structural changes.
Research and policy development for tools employers can use and programs governments can implement including regular consultation invites from federal Department of Women and Gender Equity, Canada G7 Sherpas, United Nations Commission on the Status of Women and other local levels of government.
Expanded programming such as job boards, scholarships, professional development seminars and speaking events support women in achieving professional goals and developing a sense of community.
Our IWIS program directly supports Immigrating Women in STEM with career and training resources as well as opportunities for networking.
Youth engagement programs offer science outreach for family & youth in urban, rural and Indigenous communities.
Our Make Possible program offers a positive space for seeking and offering mentorship and skills exchange - accessible anywhere and anytime this lowers barriers especially for women living in remote communities.
