About Our Charity
Springtide Resources is a registered, non-profit charity dedicated to raising awareness of gender based violence. For more than 35 years, our organization has been effectively providing training and resources to decrease the incidence of physical, psychological, emotional and sexual violence against survivors and the effect that violence has on children.
Springtide Resources is a dynamic organization working to change the social conditions that subject survivors to abuse and violence at the hands of intimate partners, families and caregivers. Our work is preventative in nature. We protect survivors and their children from physical and emotional abuse by building a community’s ability to respond proactively to violence and abuse so that violence is prevented before it can happen.

The Sfeir Successful Futures Fund: Your donation to the Sfeir Successful Futures Fund will help build upon the momentum generated by Marsha Sfeir’s 27-year career at Springtide Resources.
Under Marsha’s leadership, Springtide Resources and the gender-based violence sector as a whole, has seen tremendous growth. From continuously identifying new partnerships in the communities we work with, re-shaping the sector’s language to be more inclusive and being on the cutting edge of technology to increase Springtide’s reach – Marsha has led this organization to where it is today.
Marsha’s retirement means that nearly three decades of passionate, cutting edge work to educate and eradicate gender-based violence comes to an end. While understanding this significant change, the Board celebrates Marsha’s work and we are confident in her replacement, Nadine Sookermany, to successfully lead Springtide Resources through its next stages.
Nadine brings with her over 20 years of experience in the gender-based violence sector. She has the knowledge and skills to pick up where Marsha has left off and the Sfeir Successful Futures Fund will help Springtide continue its innovative work.
The Lynda Roy Mentorship Fund: In honour of Lynda Roy, manager of the Women with Disabilities and Deaf Women’s Program at Springtide Resources, who was a passionate, creative and tireless advocate for the rights of all people who are excluded from full participation in society, 100% of all donations to this fund will be used to mentor women with disabilities to advocate for their rights.
