Your Support is Vital to the Continuation of Our Work

St John of Jerusalem Eye Hospital Group is the only charitable provider of expert eye care in the West Bank, Gaza and East Jerusalem, treating patients regardless of ethnicity, religion or ability to pay.

We aim to end preventable blindness throughout Palestine. We have been treating patients in the region regardless of their ethnicity, religion, social class or ability to pay for over 135 years. Our sight-saving work is carried out against challenging odds to the highest international standards.

St. John Ambulance brings attention and national awareness to the St. John of Jerusalem Eye Hospital. The hospital is the only charity offering expert eye care to the Palestinian population of East Jerusalem, the West Bank and the Gaza Strip. It works with Israel’s world-renowned Hadassah Medical Center to provide students with otherwise unattainable training in Ophthalmology. The Hospital’s goal, in line with the World Health organization Vision 2020 program, is to eliminate preventable blindness in the region. The work of the Hospital is carried on at the main hospital in East Jerusalem, the second hospital in Hebron, two clinics in Gaza and Anabta, along with two mobile outreach clinics that service remote villages and refugee camps in the West Bank.
