This year, we’re launching the Liz Weaver Community Training Bursary, a new initiative that honours Liz Weaver’s extraordinary legacy as a champion for community-driven change.

Throughout her remarkable career at Tamarack, Liz touched the lives of countless people and places around the world, helping them build sustainable solutions for social change and dedicating countless hours to advancing their work. After 15 years at Tamarack, Liz announced her retirement in April, with her official departure at the end of this month.

We are more determined than ever to continue her work to accompany grassroots leaders and organizations toward transformative social impact, no matter their financial resources.

What is the Liz Weaver Community Training Bursary?

The Liz Weaver Community Training Bursary is designed to support local, place-based associations, organizations and collaboratives that are driving positive change. Sometimes all it takes to move a community or collaborative forward is access to low cost or pro bono coaching, consulting and tools or connecting them to other communities who can partner with them to share experiences and perspectives.

In Liz’s honour, we are ensuring that the vital resources Tamarack has to offer—resources that have empowered communities worldwide—are now accessible to all.
