2017 has been an exciting year for us! We provided over 5,000 hours of individual counselling on a sliding scale, provided 50 FREE depression and anxiety support groups, offered six 8 week sessions of Artistic Expression, began a FREE Art and Chat program, had a wonderful mayor’s luncheon and an empowerment breakfast for disadvantaged youth both with Olympian Adam Kreek. We were very privileged to have 40 members of Regina’s Business Community join us for a Canada 150 Celebration at the Connect Street Fair. The street fair was an overwhelming success seeing over 3,000 people join us to hear a message of hope and encouragement – some hearing for the first time that they don’t need to suffer fear, loneliness or addiction ALONE.
Each day we see hurting people’s eyes sparkle again when they realize they are loved, and that there is hope. We know that hundreds of people who came to us this year considering suicide have all returned to their families stronger and more resilient. Think of the children who have mothers, fathers, sisters and brothers with them for the holidays – all because of people like you who care.
Your donations now will make an immediate impact ensuring that important programming such as; the Artistic Expression Group, Free Depression and Anxiety Support Group and individual counselling sessions on a sliding scale continue for the more than 35,000 people in need continues in 2018.
