Let Light Shine - The Canadian Campaign for St. George’s College Jerusalem

The Canadian Campaign for St. George’s College Jerusalem Continues

As we entered Advent 2024, as a Diocese we launched an emergency appeal for St. George's College.

St. George’s College is a global center for pilgrimage, faith formation, and reconciliation. The college is at a crossroads. Its main sources of revenue — pilgrimage fees, gift shop sales, and lodging fees have been severely impacted by the ongoing war in the Middle East. Simply put, this revenue stream has been totally disrupted. It is highly unlikely that pilgrimages will resume in the next twelve months and there are insufficient funds to provide already-reduced salaries for the College’s staff and essential operations in 2025.The College is struggling to sustain its vital work and outreach.

Staff salaries have been cut, and essential operations are at risk.

The situation is dire for the remaining staff and their families, and for the future of the College itself. Without immediate support, the future of this cherished institution is in jeopardy.

This Appeal Continues until April 2025

There is a North American Committee (NAC), for St. George’s College Jerusalem. Here in Canada we join with them and with the College. We are appealing to all Anglicans and friends to help provide essential support in 2025. Let Light Shine: The Canadian Campaign for St. George’s College Jerusalem

is the NAC appeal to friends of St. George's College, who live in Canada. It will run from December 2024 to April 2025. The Campaign objective is to raise $250,000 from Canadian friends of St. George’s College Jerusalem, to provide funds for paying staff salaries and related operations in 2025.

We invite all people in every community to join us.
