Grand Theft Bus Live Album Recording in Support of Saint John Priority Neighbourhoods

The July 12 show will be the setting for a special fundraising project - a live (vinyl only) album recording and an exciting partnership between Grand Theft Bus, the Saint John Community Foundation, AREA 506, and the Friars Family

Grand Theft Bus band members Tim and Graeme Walker represent the next generation of the incredibly talented Friars family. Known almost as well for their philanthropy as for their love of music, the 'Friars sisters' (led by Tim and Graeme's aunt, Tracy Friars) have hosted a holiday fundraising concert over the last 17 years at Saint John's Imperial Theatre. After raising over $1 million, the Let's Celebrate! event is now retired, but the Walkers see this as just the start of the next chapter and an opportunity to continue their family's legacy.

The show will be recorded live and pressed on vinyl, with 100% of all album sales going directly to the Friars Family Celebrate Fund. Managed by the Saint John Community Foundation, the Celebrate Fund offers financial support to projects in five priority neighbourhoods around Saint John, with a goal of helping to alleviate generational poverty.

You can be a part of the experience and have your applause pressed into vinyl for a great cause! Tickets to the show are on sale NOW - grab yours and we'll meet you on the grass!
