Cycling for Seafarers 2018

The Mission to Seafarers

  • Campaign

The Mission to Seafarers is pleased to announce that the 11th Annual Cycling for Seafarers will be held on Saturday, August 25, 2018.

Last year's event saw over 90 riders and raised over $50,000! And we know we can do better this year! Cycling for Seafarers is the local marine industry's chance to show their support for the Mission's assistance and comfort to Seafarers that visit our port.

Ride as a family, a company, with friends or as an individual -- all are welcome. There is no entry fee for Cycling for seafarers however, participants are encouraged to find fun and unique ways to raise funds. Challenge your friends, colleagues and competitors! Not only do top fundraisers win prizes, they retain bragging rights for a full year.

Practice runs are now being held on Saturday mornings. There are two groups to choose from:

  • Recreational riders: 25 - 40 km
  • Advanced riders: 50 - 60 km

Rides will start from various locations around the Lower Mainland and will include a mix of rural and urban routes. Each ride will include a mid-point coffee shop.
