How do we prepare kids for a future that we can't even begin to imagine? This is the question I ask myself as an instructor at the pine project working with kids every weekday. Paradoxically enough, the answer I've come to is by going "back in time" and exposing them to the natural world. Simply put, natural spaces are the perfect training ground for the developing mind. Everything in nature is a question. Every plant has endless uses and relationships, and every track leads to more tracks and more mystery. In nature, the adventure never ends and the journey always leads to greater personal development. Unfortunately today kids exposure to the natural world has never been lower. The connection is fading. So why am I sharing all of this? Money, of course. All of the money fund raised through this page will go towards our bursary fund to send kids to our programs who wouldn't otherwise be able to afford it.
