Make a donation - support the RVH Child and Youth Diabetes Clinic!

Tour de T1D is a bicycle ride to raise funds and awareness for Type 1 Diabetes. Last year’s inaugural ride saw 130 participants have a great day riding, raising over $32,000.00!

Type 1 diabetes is a complex and lifelong autoimmune condition that affects one out of every 300 children in Canada. Diabetes has a significant impact on many different aspects of a child’s life and wellbeing. As of now there is no cure.

Proceeds from the event this year will be directed to the RVH Child and Youth Diabetes Clinic, where event organizers Dr. Richard Goudie and Dr. Darlene Newnham’s son Lukas has received excellent care.

“This clinic is a fantastic and energetic organization where dedicated professionals are committed to improving the lives of every youth with Diabetes,” says Dr. Goudie. “So much care, compassion, and education is devoted to each child and their family.”

It is the Goudie family's goal that this Simcoe County cycling event becomes a sought after ride for all cyclists to join and contribute to the support of patients with Diabetes.
