COVID-19 is having a devastating impact on our local economy and in the lives of Canadians and people around the world.
Many vulnerable individuals are adjusting to a life in isolation and are feeling scared and uncertain about what tomorrow brings.
Donations to our Sign of Hope funded Mercy Counselling program will enable us to offer free crisis counselling sessions to assist our clients and help them work through their struggles and develop a plan of action to get through these difficult times.
With families now confined to closed quarters, having limited or no interaction with neighbours, community members, or educators, and with the current economic downturn and financial stressors, it is anticipated that the number of families who will experience domestic violence or at risk of homelessness will increase. Our three women’s shelters and residences will help provide shelter and safety for vulnerable women and their children.
A gift to our Sign of Hope funded St. Zita program will help lift families out of poverty by helping put food on their tables and keep a roof over their head during these trying times.
