RESPOND | RECOVER | REBUILD
This has been a difficult time for everyone but especially for local people who are already experiencing issues of poverty, homelessness, mental illness and food insecurity. Now, as public health measures are being implemented in response to COVID-19, people who are already vulnerable are facing major disruptions and new risks. Many people are in crisis right now.
Help agencies in our community respond to the immediate and emerging needs of Thunder Bay residents affected by the pandemic. Now more than ever we need to pull together as a community to support those who need it most.
The United Way of Thunder Bay has joined forces with the Thunder Bay Community Foundation to establish a COVID-19 Community Relief Fund to help ensure Thunder Bay residents impacted by the pandemic have access to the supports and services they need to deal with the physical health, mental health and economic impacts of the COVID-19 outbreak.
Thanks to a $100,000 donation from an anonymous donor and matching support provided by the Thunder Bay Community Foundation, the COVID-19 Community Relief Fund will provide funding to help ensure that people’s basic needs are met during this unprecedented public health challenge.
Your donations will support local non-profits helping those at high risk throughout this crisis and beyond.
We are calling on those who are able to take action now and donate.
We are all in this together. Your donation will provide the resources required to keep our community healthy during this challenging time.
THANK YOU for taking action.
