Tapas for TAPS is a fundraiser for Together Against Poverty Society ("TAPS"), a non-profit legal advocacy organization in Victoria, British Columbia. TAPS is one of the largest providers of face-to-face legal advocacy services in British Columbia, and helps low and no-income clients with a wide variety of legal issues.
Tapas for TAPS is our annual fundraising event, held at the Heron Rock Bistro in James Bay (435 Simcoe St.), and features delicious tapas, a craft beer tasting, and a fantastic live and silent auction. This year, our Master of Ceremonies will by Jody Paterson, journalist and former executive director at PEERS Victoria.
Tickets are $80, with $55 of the ticket price as a donation with charitable tax receipt. Please contact us directly at the email address below if you have any questions, and we hope you will join us for this fun event to support our small, but mighty organization!
Tapas for TAPS runs from 5:00 to 7:00 PM on Thursday June 7, 2018, and attendees are encouraged to come by right at opening to enjoy the cash bar with craft beer tasting table, live music, and our silent auction table. At 6:00 we will have a short program featuring a live auction, and a presentation thanking Kelly Newhook, TAPS' first Executive Director, who recently moved on from TAPS to work in government. Following the presentation guests will have time to chat and pick up any silent or live auction items they have purchased, before the event winds down and ends around 7:00 PM.
