Forgo Freedom For a Day
TORONTO UNITED MENNONITE CHURCH
Forgo Freedom For a Day will give participants a chance to go on a 'Freedom Fast'. In the same way one might fast by going without food to increase recognition and raise money for hunger issues, people will go without some of their freedoms for 24 hours to raise awareness and funds to help people who have been trafficked or exploited for labour, marriage and/or crime.
The Forgo Freedom campaign is a platform for international anti-trafficking engagement that creates an opportunity for awareness, reflection, discussion and personal participation while directly raising funds to support Aurora House in their mission to provide housing and support services to people who have been exploited.
See our FAQ for more information on how the campaign will work and more details on how participants will go about limiting their freedoms for one day.
Aurora House is a long-term transitional housing project headquartered in Toronto, Canada dedicated to providing housing and support services to people who have been trafficked or otherwise exploited.
