Dear Supporter,

Over the past few weeks the world has been dramatically changed and affected by the COVID-19 virus. As the cases in Canada continue to rise, we are all affected and we recognize our obligation to serve and support the most vulnerable during this very difficult time.

At True North Aid, we remain committed to serving and supporting northern communities in Canada who are some of those most vulnerable within our borders.

In the midst of this crisis, some of our key projects will need to be postponed with uncertainty for others. However, we will continue to respond with practical assistance as the need arises working closely with our suppliers and service providers.

Today we are launching "COVID-19 Emergency Fund" - This special fund has been established to respond to specific requests from northern communities where other funding/assistance is not otherwise available during this difficult and unpredictable time.

We are working with our advisors to determine the types of supplies that will be most needed but this may include critical supplies for newborns/young children, sanitizer and disinfectant supplies, personal protective equipment and basic essentials that may be lacking and not otherwise being provided.

Your valuable and generous support will help make this possible.  As we work together to mitigate the impact of this pandemic on our own lives, we want to be proactive in our support for the people and communities we are called to serve.

Would you consider supporting this fund?

Over the next several weeks, our team at True North Aid will keep you updated on the status of this campaign and how your generosity is helping to support the needs of First Peoples living in remote northern communities in Canada. We must do what we can help protect and provide essential supplies in the coming weeks and months.
