Business Number: 108145533RR0001

Turtle Mountain Conservation District, is comprised of a group of local people working together in partnership with Manitoba Water Stewardship to attempt to maintain and improve sustainability within the District.

Since 2011, TMCD has partnered with the Manitoba Burrowing Owl Recovery Program (MBORP) to help re-establish the endangered Burrowing Owl population in southwestern Manitoba. MBORP has three main goal that include promoting Burrowing Owl populations through reintroduction of owl pairs and young back into the wild in southwestern Manitoba, research to understand limiting factors and emerging threats the species is facing and education through public presentations and one-on-one meetings with landowners to discuss grassland conservation and ways to improve lands for Burrowing Owls.
