Help United Way City of Kawartha Lakes to rapidly respond to local crises. This fund assists agencies when they have clientele experiencing an emergency situation such as eviction, intimate partner violence, or extreme hunger. The Emergency Needs Fund will allow UWCKL to disperse small pockets of money to the agency to assist the client in crisis without needing to apply for funding and waiting through the administrative process. The Emergency Needs Fund is a quick response and barrier-free in order to help local residents in real time. 

Contributions to the fund can be of any denomination and will be utilized as needed and at the discretion of United Way CKL senior management and Board of Directors to ensure the funds will be used to the greatest impact.

* A $25 donation is practical and useful to help with immediate costs in crisis, such as transportation.

* A $50 donation is practical and useful to help an individual buy warm clothing.

*A $100 donation is practical and useful to help feed a hungry family.
