Each year, United Way's Summer Lunch Program ensures that children growing up in low-income families are fed a healthy & nutritious lunch during the summer months when in-school nutrition programs are closed for the year.
COVID-19 and the early closure of schools has created some incredible challenges for children and families in our community who rely on breakfast and snack programs. As a result, the need for food supports is even greater this year. Even though many summer camps won't be operating, United Way is still committed to ensuring that local children receive the nutritional support they need this summer.
WE NEED YOUR SUPPORT THIS YEAR MORE THAN EVER
Your donation will ensure that local children and families in priority neighbourhoods have access to free weekly food packages that are filled with fresh fruit and produce, snacks for children such as Goldfish crackers, apple sauce, granola bars and other treats) and activity kits to keep kids active & engaged over the summer months.
Over the past few years, United Way and BMO Nesbitt Burns have successfully partnered in support of the Summer Lunch Program. We are grateful for your continued partnership in helping us to tackle the increased need of our local children this year.
