Covid 19: Like all charities we are currently experiencing a large drop in gifts to cover bills that must still be paid. God Bless you for your support as we continue to serve the needs of our community. Visit our website for updates and links to our services, government news and activities for Easter.
Through our strong sense of community with parishioners of all ages, we do things together; pray and sing, laugh and mourn, eat and rejoice.
Valois United Church is a welcoming church to everyone, opening its doors every Sunday morning at 10:00 am. Our Sunday school members begin in service with parents, and move downstairs to continue learning while services continue. There is a quiet room and washroom at the back church for restless young children (and maybe a few adults too!).
Throughout the year we offer various activities that include craft and country fairs, theme dinners and musical concerts. For our calendar of upcoming special services and community events, you can visit us at www.valoisunited.ca.
The congregation started out in a house in a small, summer cottage region of Montreal, growing quickly as the city expanded into the western Suburbs. Now over 80 years old, today the church remains a strong supporter in the Valois Community, offering spiritual support, cultural activities, and a large gym space for groups to gather and play, pray, eat and share.
We help various local groups such as St Columba House in Pointe-St-Charles with food and clothing drives and volunteer support. At Christmas we collect food for baskets in our local community. Our international outreach services are linked to Youth Upliftment International, which runs a school in Dominican Republic committed to inviting children off the streets into a safe environment where they can learn, eat properly and lay the foundation for a better future.
