Mike Strobel and the Toronto Sun has always gone above and beyond to shine a light on Variety – the Children’s Charity. Every year during the holiday season, the Toronto Sun Christmas Fund raises money for Variety’s incredible kids, with the money giving them the opportunity to be part of an accessible and inclusive environment where they can discover their potential – no matter their ability. Since its inception, the Sun Fund has raised over $1.3 million dollars!
Mike Strobel, the quirky Toronto Sun columnist, veteran writer, editor, author, and very good friend of Variety took over the reins of the 38-year-old Toronto Sun Christmas Fund in 2008 after the passing of fund co-founder and sports journalist, George Gross. Each year, Mike harnesses the giving season and highlights some of the amazing things that happen at Variety. The continued support helps make a difference in the lives of so many children in our community and he has been a true champion of Variety, our kids, our athletes, our staff and our mission.
Your donation today will help kids with disabilities gain access to inclusive programs that encourage participation, independence and healthy active lives. Give the gift that keeps on giving – donate to Variety’s kids today!
